This morning's breakfast update is brought to you by free high-speed wifi at Brooklyn Kolache Co.. We had the chorizo breakfast taco ($2.50) -- so meh. The kolaches are what you should come for -- pillowy sweet Czech dough with generous fillings. We picked the salted beef sausage ($3.75) which came with a tangy mustard, and the PB&J kolache ($3.75) which held a great nugget of peanut butter and a thick squirt of jelly. Love that this is a quirky, artists-friendly space too.

That little guy is a chorizo taquito ($1.50) - a must order - and that big guy is... an enchilada (spicy pork) quesadilla ($4.50). A quesadilla like this foreigner has never seen before. Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos is a tortilla shop-turned tortilleria, and thank goodness for that - fluffy, prata-slash-pita-flat corn flaps holding queso, avocado, greens, tomatoes, sour cream, and flavourful warmed (the crumbled chorizo that could do with a little more spices) and seared (pan-fried spicy pork with wasn't really, but had crunch) meats. Their spicy salsa verde made this wrap holy/whole-y. Should definitely be had with the Mexican cola ($2.50) or Agua (soda water, $1).
